Marlieke van Kesteren, PhD
Marlieke chose Cognitive Neuroscience for her Master’s degree after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence. That this suited her well is evidenced by her cum laude completion of her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. Since 2019, she has been part of the team of grant advisers in Hoevelaken.
As a grant advisor, I am above all a critical friend. I get energy from providing meaningful advice that unburdens the client and creates progress in the process. This so that clients can optimally focus on their own unique expertise: (scientific) innovation. I do not shy away from being critical and like to take a coaching, proactive role to set up projects in the best possible way and maximise the chances of success.
Within my work as a grant specialist, I focus on Life Sciences and AI, especially within national and international scientific grant schemes and PPP collaborations. With my scientific background in Cognitive Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence, extensive knowledge of the scientific community and broad interest in research and innovation, I offer in-depth and expert guidance on various grant programmes.
