Karen van der Doelen, MSc
In December 2024, Karen joined the Hezelburcht team. Karen has a background in Biomedical Sciences with a specialisation in ‘Regenerative Medicine and Technology’ and experience in project management and science communication.
During my education and work as a project manager, I gained experience at various agencies within healthcare and science. I am mainly interested in bridging research to practice and take pleasure in translating scientific findings to a wider audience. My curious and driven nature, combined with an eye for detail and focus on collaboration, help me in this work.
A supportive and connecting role suits me, something that is also endorsed by my teammates from the korfball selection. In my spare time, I enjoy being active: I play korfball, boxing, fitness and cycling with great enthusiasm. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family and lovingly look after my collection of houseplants.
