The 4th call to apply projects for CEF Energy CB RES status opens on 3 September
CINEA will open the 4th call for renewable energy status for CEF Energy Cross-Border Renewable Energy Sources (CEF Energy CB RES) projects on 3 September 2024. A virtual information day will be organised by CINEA on Monday 16 September 2024 to explain all details about this call. CB RES status is required to get listed on a list of projects that meet the conditions for grant funding from CEF Energy.
What is the CB RES status?
CB RES stands for ‘Cross-Border Renewable Energy Projects’. All projects with this status enter a list of CB RES projects. CB RES status is required to qualify for CEF grants, such as CEF-Energy. The status also offers benefits such as more exposure, increased investor certainty and more support from member states.
A project must meet several criteria to get the status. Projects are cross-border and contribute to the realisation of an infrastructure for generating and transporting sustainable energy from renewable sources. Cross-border projects must demonstrate cost savings over other projects implemented in one member state only.
Applying for CB RES status in 2024
