Press Release: Port of Rotterdam chooses Hezelburcht
We recently participated in Port of Rotterdam’s (PoR) European tender to become a preferred supplier for grant support. We are delighted that the largest port in Europe has chosen Hezelburcht: we will support PoR in the upcoming years in the acquisition of various regional, national and European grants.
Previous collaboration
In the past ten years Hezelburcht has already been able to carry out various subsidy projects for PoR. Good examples of this are: the construction of the Theemsweg route (CEF Transport) and the Porthos project (CEF Energy). In the latter case, CO2 is transported from the Port of Rotterdam to and stored in empty gas fields under the North Sea. We also provided support in preparing the Horizon 2020 / European Green Deal application for the MAGPIE project (45 project partners), which focuses on sustainable and smart logistics in ports.
Preferred suppliers of Port of Rotterdam
Following this public tender, PoR selected three parties (‘preferred suppliers’), with whom a framework contract has now been concluded; Hezelburcht is one of these parties. We are very proud that we will be able to support PoR in realizing even more ambitions in the upcoming years. Furthermore, PoR is fully committed to the energy transition and reducing CO2 emissions in the port of Rotterdam. We are pleased to be able to contribute to these goals in the coming years!
