Our commitment to the EIC Code of Conduct
At Hezelburcht, we are committed to upholding the highest professional and ethical standards in our advisory services. As part of our dedication to responsible and high-quality support for innovators across Europe, we fully adhere to the principles laid out in the European Innovation Council (EIC) Code of Conduct for Consultants.
Expertise, quality, and transparency
We only accept assignments for which we have demonstrated expertise and a relevant track record. Our grant specialists remain up to date on EIC programme developments and consistently deliver tailored support based on a deep understanding of the funding landscape. Our team, success rates, and approach are communicated transparently, and any use of subcontractors is disclosed upfront and agreed upon with our clients.
Ethical conduct and confidentiality
Our services are guided by strict ethical principles. We avoid conflicts of interest, protect confidential information, and never make misleading claims about our influence or affiliations. Clients remain fully in charge of their proposals and all intellectual property remains their own. We ensure that any subcontracted experts operate under the same ethical standards, and we are fully compliant with EU data protection and AI regulations.
Supporting informed and empowered applicants
We encourage clients to make informed decisions by considering multiple offers, reviewing available public support structures such as National Contact Points (NCPs) and the Enterprise Europe Network, and staying engaged throughout the proposal process. We clearly outline the scope of our services, pricing structure (including any success-based elements), and any expected client responsibilities.
Our approach reflects the EIC Board’s recommendations that grant specialists should complement — not replace — the applicant’s ownership of the proposal. We believe that strong applications are built through authentic collaboration, not generic templates or pressure tactics.
Authenticity and integrity at the core
EIC applications, particularly for the Accelerator, are not just forms — they are the foundation of your future business. That’s why we focus not only on technical excellence but also on ensuring that the final proposal is coherent, strategic, and genuinely reflects your vision. We assist, advise, and challenge — but we never replace your voice.
We are proud to adhere to the EIC Code of Conduct, and we welcome any feedback on our practices. Our goal is to contribute to a fair, transparent, and impactful European innovation ecosystem.
