BeNeFIT grant (Belgium-Netherlands Funding of International Trials)
Do you conduct practice-oriented clinical trials as a Belgian or Dutch knowledge institution? If so, you may be eligible for BeNeFIT (Belgium-Netherlands Funding of International Trials) grant. With this scheme, you can receive a grant if you collaborate on non-commercial practice-oriented research. Applications can be submitted from 28 October 2024 to 28 January 2025.
What can BeNeFIT grant be used for?
The Belgian Health Care Knowledge Centre (KCE) and the Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMw) have launched the BeNeFIT programme jointly. The programme’s focus is to provide funding for non-commercial practice-oriented research, which is directly relevant for patients, healthcare providers and policymakers in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Who is BeNeFIT for?
What conditions do you need to meet?
To qualify for the BeNeFIT programme in 2024, there are several conditions you must meet:
The Netherlands
- The national coordination centre must be a research organisation or healthcare institution
- At least one non-academic hospital must participate
- The interventions studied are reimbursed under the Basic Care Act, Long-Term Care Act in the Netherlands and/or Basic Health Insurance Package Act
- Studies must fall within ZonMw’s Efficiency Research programme or the Good Use of Medicines programme.
Belgium
- The national coordination centre must be qualified as a non-commercial sponsor
- Participating parties must include at least one centre from each region of the country (Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels)
- The funding provided under the research agreement complies with European regulations regarding state aid.
